Fall & Winter Programs

Good Morning,
The Children's Department is gearing up for the Fall & Winter programs. Brochures for the programs will be ready at end of August. Sign-up sheets will be available on August 18th.
Children's Programs will began September 8th, 2008. Watch PIN and the newspaper for more information.

2008 Summer Reading Program

Good Morning,
Summer Reading Program is over for 2008, it was a huge success. We had 828 children attend all programs from Monday's Bug Movie Festival, Tuesday & Wednesday's story time programs, and Thursday's guest speakers.
I would like to thank all of the children who participate, parent's and caregivers for taking time to bring your children to the library, Ms. Di for her work at taking pictures (stop by and see the slide show), Joe Rupp for helping with the movies, and Friends of the Library for their support and contribution of books and money.
I hope to see you all next summer at the 2009 Summer Reading Programs, our theme will be "Be Creative @ your Library", we will learn about the arts.

Scholastic Book Fair

Good morning
Perry Carnegie Library is excited about our upcoming Book Fair. An amazing selection of books is headed our way! The Book Fair will be held in the Thelma Knox Brown Meeting Room.
The dates and times: June 16th - 19th - 9:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. and June 20th - 9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.

This is our last week of Storytime. I have enjoy the last eight months reading and getting to know the children. I will see everyone for the Summer Reading Program and again in September.

Free Comic Book Day

Good Morning
Saturday, May 3rd, is Free Comic Book Day. Perry Carnegie Library will have a table at the new skate park dedication to hand out comic books.
One comic book per person, supplies are limited.
